Submit your session proposal for the Science Summit, 9 – 26 September 2025
Submission Deadline extended: 15th May, 2025
Summit Focus: How science and innovation can drive progress toward achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals within planetary boundaries.
We are looking for projects that demonstrate a tangible impact on achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These projects should serve as model case studies for the scientific community, highlighting real-world applications of science and best practices.
THEMES:
African Leadership in Science – Showcasing Africa’s growing role in global science and innovation.
Women & Girls in Science – Breaking barriers and driving gender-inclusive innovation.
AI for Good & AI for Science – Exploring AI’s transformative potential for sustainable development.
One Health: Bridging Human, Animal, and Environmental Health – Tackling global health threats through interdisciplinary collaboration on pandemics, antimicrobial resistance, and ecosystem health. Special on Brain Health.
Science & Global Challenges – Addressing climate change, public health, food security, and digital equity.
Biodiversity & Nature-Based Solutions – Advancing conservation, ecosystem restoration, and sustainable practices including indigenous knowledge, to protect our planet’s natural heritage.
Finance for Development – Mobilizing investments and innovative funding mechanisms to support infrastructures, capacity building, and sustainable development initiatives.
The Science Summit 2025 will convene scientists, policymakers, industry leaders, and innovators to explore how science, technology, and innovation (STI) can accelerate progress toward the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) while shaping a more resilient and sustainable future.

We welcome session proposals that emphasize collaborative research projects involving a minimum of three organizations.

PLEASE NOTE:
- Session duration: 2 hours
- Evaluation Timeline: Proposals will be evaluated within 2-3 weeks of submission.
- Selected sessions will be featured in the Science Summit program for virtual participation.
- Virtual participation after selection is free of charge.
